Jonathan D. Mann, Jr. (JD) is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Professional Land Resources, L.L.C. After planning and strategizing through 2005, the company started operations in the extra bedroom of his Morgantown, WV apartment in 2006. The goal to become the best land management company in history remains the same today.
JD was born and raised in Brooksville, FL. He relocated to West Virginia with his family in 2000 where, as an avid outdoorsman, he was quickly enamored with all the area had to offer. JD has a love for the environment that he works so closely with every day. He is proud to now be a Mountaineer and feels privileged to call West Virginia home.
Soon after graduating from Preston High School, JD began working in the land services industry as an independent Landman. This experience afforded him the opportunity to learn the strong, and weak, points of the industry and his mind went to work planning what is now the foundation of PLR.
JD was joined from the start by his now fiancée, Ashley, who currently serves as Chief Financial Officer. Shortly after founding the company, David Cutlip was added to the team forming the unshakeable roots that sustain the company today.

JD enjoys being the involved in all aspects of PLR, especially dealing with landowners on a personal basis, but providing structure and management of others around him have been his biggest contribution to PLR. Professional Land Resources is privately held and that makes us an aggressive competitor.
Aside from work, JD enjoys sports and the outdoors and loves fishing and hunting with friends and family whom would be quick to call him the jester of the group. He also enjoys helping others in the community and attends church every Sunday with Ashley. He is a proud member of the Independent Oil and Gas Associations in West Virginia, Ohio and Tennessee, serving as a site coordinator in Tennessee.
